McEnroe warns about Novak Djokovic after his loss to Sinner: "He'll have to think a lot over the next month."

Novak Djokovic bowed out of Wimbledon on Friday after a resounding 3-6/3-6/4-6 defeat to Jannik Sinner in the semifinals in less than two hours. The Serbian looked out of sorts and far from his best, leaving doubts about his return to the tournament. John McEnroe spoke about the matter on the BBC .

The former tennis player reflected on the Serbian's performance during the match: "Novak will have to think a lot over the next month . Do you think it was due to the injury or the physical abuse?"

"It's the first time I've looked at him and thought, ' I'm not sure he'll come back. I don't know if he can accept a level or two below these guys,'" he continued.

However, the former world number one also expressed his admiration for Nole and what he has achieved at 38 years old: "It's incredible that he's come this far, at this level, for so long. This is almost human now. This is what we've been waiting for."

In the end, the Serbian bids farewell to a tournament he has won so many times, and in which another final will be held between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. This follows the historic Roland Garros title match, which the Spaniard won against the Italian in five sets.
